Superior Piston Ring Company has
been manufacturing industrial piston rings since 1920.
Our rings are the standard of the industry. We use individual
castings of high quality non-ferrous metal, No. 1 Spartaloy
(AMS 7310, SAE J929A).
Spartaloy castings are by far superior to Pot castings and cast iron bar stock which is now being commonly used. The pot casting and cast iron bar stock gives the visual appearance of quality rings, but lack the modulus elasticity and tensile strength of Spartaloys individual castings. Spartaloy castings are uniform in quality and are free from flaws caused by sand castings.
We carry the largest inventory of standard step cut rings in the industry. We also carry many popular sizes in
butt angle, step seal, onep, and inseal rings. Our inventory consists of over 600,000 cast iron rings.
Superior Perma-Lubes lubricates all standard stock rings to provide an anti-friction, wear resistance, anti-skuff surface also insuring a coating of uniform depth, which easily absorbs and retains lubricant, while protecting against rust and promotes rapid seating.
